Best Sports Car of 2021

McLaren 765LT

The 2021 McLaren 765LT is a track-focused exotic sports car that weighs less than 3000 pounds and basically bolts a nuclear behind its passengers. The latter constitutes a 754-hp twin-turbo V-8 that roars like a lion in heat. The letters in its name stand for Longtail, indicating that McLaren is serious about business. It has a hollow-eyed appearance, lightweight construction, and highly adjustable attributes similar to the McLaren 720S. While its cabin can be pared down for even more weight savings, it remains a driver's dream thanks to excellent outward sight and only the most necessary controls. While its interior can be stripped down for further weight reduction, it remains a driver’s paradise thanks to fantastic outward visibility and only the most essential controls. The 2021 765LT isn’t for the faint of heart, and it’s even more expensive than its shorter sibling, but that money help make it move quicker and corner sharper.

Mercedes-AMG GT

The gorgeous exterior of the 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT will undoubtedly catch your attention, but it's more than just a pretty face. The GT is a low and broad sports car that is also a very capable high-performance sports car. This is Mercedes' front-engine answer to Porsche's rear-engine 911. The GT, which is available at several price ranges, is powered by a hand-built twin-turbo V-8. Although this AMG isn't as absorbing to drive as its Porsche counterpart, it's still very dynamic, and most variants are surprisingly civil on non-racetrack smooth roads. Those who prefer a more refined grand tourer will appreciate the 523-hp GT and 550-hp GT C, and those with sportier desirers will gravitate toward the 577-hp GT R and GT R Pro. Most models are available in a coupe and soft-top-roadster forms, but the track-focused Pro and almighty 720-hp Black Series are hardtops only.

Porsche 911 Turbo

Launching another mighty salvo in the horsepower war, the 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S are poised up to the ante with up to 640 horsepower. Hight- output sports cars such as the 577-hp recedes-AMG R, the 602-hp Audi R8, and the 631-hp Lamborghini Huracan Evo are all rivals to both 911 Turbos, but not of them come with the same storied history. They come in coupe and cabriolet body designs, with identical standard and optional equipment as lower 911 models, but are powered by a more powerful twin-turbocharged 3.7-liter flat-six engine located—where else?—in the back.

Chevrolet Corvette

The pressure was on Chevrolet to provide a modern-day classic after years of waiting for the mid-engine Corvette to make its appearance. As the C8-generation automobile enters its second model year, we are pleased to inform that its standing has been maintained—indeed, it has been elevated. The Corvette's outstanding performance, a 490-hp V-8 engine, and affordable starting price earned it a 10 Best award for 2021. The Corvette comes in coupe and convertible body styles, and the two-seat cabin is big and comfortable for full-size adults. Aside from its stunning performance, Chevy's developers designed the ride to be comfortable enough for daily commuting and cross-country road trips, while also being track-capable with the Z51 package. Cargo capacity is restricted, but golf clubs can still be stored in the back, and the front trunk (frunk) has a deep well that can easily accommodate carry-on baggage.

Ferrari F8

The supercar genre thrives on theatrical styling and performance, and the 2021 Ferrari F8 Tributo and Spiders exemplify both. Ferrari dresses each variant with exotic bodywork, and Spider’s removable top provides an extra visceral experience. Mounted behind the driver is a 710-ph twin-turbo V-8 that feeds the rear wheels through a paddle-shifted, seven-speed automatic transmission. The F8's V-8 produces explosive acceleration and thrilling audio, but the latter is less engaging than the Italian automaker's best work. Nonetheless, the Maranello magicians have created a lovely chassis that enchants the driver with incredible agility and tactility. These distinguishing features, together with their distinct designs, make the 2021 F8 Tributo and Spider very unique machines.
